All of the money donated through Splendonor goes to the beneficiary projects promoted on Splendonor's website. As a separate New York 501(c)(3), Splendonor's operating costs and expenses are funded separately by several valued partners (see this link if you are interested in being a Splendonor partner). Donors using the Splendonor platform are assured that 100% of their donation is going to the project that they are sponsoring.

For small projects such as the installation of a well or solar panels, Splendonor will transfer the full project donation directly to the charity managing the project, usually within one business day of receipt of donation. For large projects such as a new school or medical center, Splendonor will establish a project account and transfer funds to the project incrementally as work progresses, based on a pre-determined schedule confirmed by progress inspections. For crowd-funded small projects, Splendonor will hold each donation in a project account until enough donations have accumulated to fund the entire project. The full amount will then be transferred to the beneficiary charity.

Of course! But donating through Splendonor offers added features that direct donations will not provide......

If requested, Splendonor will return a Donor's contribution as long as those funds are still within a Splenodor-controilled account. Once Splendonor has released funds to a beneficiary charity, Splendonor will likely be unable to retrieve those funds if a Donor requests a refund.

First, Splendonor always partners with a well-qualified, local charity that has demonstrated success in the particular whichever type of project being supported (schools, solar panels, water wells, medical centers, etc.). We help donors find the very best charity to help. Second, Splendonor will monitor all donations to assure our clients (the donor) that their investment is having the positive impact it was intending to have. For construction projects, this will include periodic updates on the progress of construction, real time access to on-site cameras, access to budget and schedule documents, and other features no other donation platform provides. At the completion of the project, Splendonor will make sure our donors receive appropriate certifications, as well as the sincere expressions of gratitude from the local community. Third, Slendonor implements investment risk management protocols on all large projects. This means, for example, releasing funds to the local charity incrementally as a project is constructed, rather than all at once. It also means having the local charity guarantee all cost overruns, if they occur. These protocols assure our donors that their investment is being projected from the unanticipated events that seem to occur too often.
